The MMC (Mobile Maintenance Crew) concept was designed to alleviate the issues with using a customer’s existing Operations Personnel to perform annual and semi-annual maintenance. Operations Personnel are on site to insure that a customers wind farm runs with the highest possible availability. The day-to-day work load they carry can be quite extreme, and this load does not diminish just because it is time to perform an annual or semi-annual maintenance. This places a customer’s Operations Personnel in the difficult position of having to allocate time, based on importance. Having Operations Personnel dedicated to only Operations, means a higher turbine-to-man ratio, reducing the operating overhead for any site. With Mariah Resources MMC’s, maintenance can be contracted on a per-turbine per-year basis. This becomes a fixed cost to the customer, that is easily budgeted for. Insomuch as the customer’s costs are fixed, Mariah Resources can deploy as many MMC’s as are needed to bring the maintenance of the customers turbines to completion in the most timely manner.
MMC’s were developed to alleviate the most daunting task of the operating year. Their sole purpose is to perform either a full annual maintenance or a semi-annual maintenance as completely and in as short a period of time, as is possible. MMC’s are tooled to function totally independent of a customer’s site and independent of onsite Operations Personnel. MMC’s are a staff of three experienced wind turbine technicians. MMC’s are available with different turbine experience, Vestas, GE, NEG, Mitsubishi, Zond, Clipper Wind and others. The MMC’s required will be tailored to a customers individual turbine needs.
MMC’s are versed in each OEM’s requirements for maintenance yet are flexible enough to implement each customers individual requirements.
